20 Fat-Burning Secrets of The Grill

#17: When it comes to pizza, think outside the box

Yes, you can grill pizza, and you can save a ton of calories in the process. Try this: Brush a 12” circle of pizza dough with olive oil, toss it on the grill for 30 seconds, rotate it 45 degrees, then cook it for another 30 seconds. Flip the crust over, and top it with marinara, mozzarella, grilled chicken sausage, grilled onions, and grilled peppers. Close the grill top until the cheese begins to melt, rotate the pizza 45 degrees, and continue cooking until the crust is lightly charred and the cheese is fully melted. You've just created a smoky, meaty pie with a third as much fat as you'll find in two large slices of Domino's Deep Dish Extravaganzza.
