The tiny needles used in acupuncture may be able to help you exercise with less pain, move more quickly and recover more rapidly.
A review of research that looked at how acupuncture may help you with a workout finds that this ancient technique may have significant benefits. Although more studies need to be done, the exercise physiologists found evidence that acupuncture could ease recovery after physical activity, reduce blood lactate, improve heart rate and boost oxygen consumption.
The researchers believe that double blind studies looking at acupuncture’s effects may confirm its benefits.
