Although more studies need to be done, the exercise physiologists found evidence that acupuncture could ease recovery after physical activity, reduce blood lactate, improve heart rate and boost oxygen consumption.
The researchers believe that double blind studies looking at acupuncture’s effects may confirm its benefits.
