Will eating fat make you fat?
Dear Reader,

If I could change one thing about modern medicine it would be the completely misguided notion that fat is bad. Well, if I'm being totally honest, of course that's just the tip of the iceberg of things I'd change. But for the sake of space, today I'll just take on fat!

Fats became demonized because somewhere along the line, someone said if you are fat and eat fat, fat must be the cause. And it does seem to make sense--until you look at the science. And guess what? There's NO evidence to back up this theory. In fact, studies have proven the exact opposite!

Here's the most recent example...

Researchers from Britain (of course not the U.S.) conducted a study of fats verses carbs in patients with type-2 diabetes. Subjects replaced one serving of carbohydrates a day with just 2 ounces of nuts. And guess what happened? Switching to nuts improved blood sugar control and cholesterol levels.

Not only that, but they also proved the more nuts you eat, the better!

This study also proves what I've been saying for decades: You don't have to deprive yourself to be healthy.

You can indulge in rich foods--even ones high in fat like nuts--and actually improve your health, your waistline, and your diabetes risk.
