Eggs Improve Your Cholesterol
The truth of that advice has now been cracked like an eggshell. When researchers at the University of Connecticut fed people three eggs a day for three months (and restricted their sugar and carbohydrate consumption), they found that their blood cholesterol improved. Their HDL measures showed significantly greater increases in the number and size of HDL particles. HDL (good cholesterol) scavenges for fat throughout the bloodstream and returns it to the liver, making it less likely that fatty deposits will build up in the blood vessels and lead to atherosclerosis.
